Acting Dean, Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing

Professor Robyn Stremler was appointed Acting Dean of the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing for a six-month period from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024, while the current Dean, Professor Linda Johnston, is serving as the Acting Vice-President and Principal, University of Toronto Scarborough. 

Professor Stremler currently serves as the Associate Dean, Academic in the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. Professor Stremler is also the former Director of the PhD program, and previously served twice as Acting Associate Dean, Academic. Professor Stremler is internationally recognised for her research on paediatrics; particularly sleep, in partnership with collaborators at SickKids, where she is appointed as an Adjunct Scientist. Professor Stremler is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. 

Professor Stremler earned her BSc in Biology/Psychology from Queen’s University, her MSc in Nursing from McGill University, and her PhD from the University of Toronto in Nursing Science. She also did a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Sleep and Circadian Rhythms from University of California and University of Toronto jointly. Professor Stremler joined U of T as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in 2003, then joined the tenure stream in 2006. She received the rank of Professor in 2022.
