Kwame Diko is a recipient of the Division of the Vice-President and Provost (DVPP)’s Emerging Leader Award for his inclusive, vision-driven leadership in advancing access and opportunity for equity-deserving students. 

Under his stewardship, the Enrichment Academy has grown to four cohorts and is on track to reach 100 students in 2026. Kwame was also instrumental in establishing U of T’s partnership with the Vanguard Scholars Program through the BlackNorth Initiative, strengthened ties with secondary school counsellors through the Community Advisory Board, and contributed to growth in Indigenous student recruitment. A steward of evidence-informed outreach strategy, he recently began the PhD program in Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at OISE and continues to expand his impact through global recruitment efforts.
