Professor Joseph Milner was appointed Interim Dean of the Rotman School of Management from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Professor Milner served as the Vice-Dean, MBA Programs since 2020 and the Academic Director of the Full-Time MBA program from 2018 to 2020.

Professor Milner holds the Magna Professorship in Management. His research interests include service operations modeling, revenue management, and healthcare operations. He has served on the editorial boards of Operations Research, Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management and has published extensively in these journals.

Prior to joining the University of Toronto in 2002, Professor Milner was an assistant professor at Washington University in St Louis. He received his PhD in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
