Ellen MacPherson is the recipient of the Emerging Leader Award for her remarkable effectiveness in advancing institutional priorities, most notably through her integral role in the SGS Graduate Funding Review Working Group that resulted in the significant enhancement of graduate funding.

Ellen consistently demonstrates leadership excellence through her methodical stakeholder engagement processes, synthesizing perspectives from faculty members, graduate chairs, coordinators, students, and senior academic leaders into cohesive policy frameworks.  

Ellen’s recent work with the Postdoctoral Working Group has produced recommendations that have garnered attention for their potential to positively transform the postdoctoral experience at the University.
