The CTSI Evaluation & Assessment Operations Team is the recipient of the Collaborative Team of the Year Award for their achievements in implementing a range of high priority projects essential to the University’s mission of supporting excellent teaching through effective collection of student feedback. From the release of a Renewed Validation Study of the course evaluation items used in the centralized online course evaluation survey, to new framing statements that appear on every course evaluation survey and highlight for students the importance of thoughtful feedback, to newly designed and easier-to-interpret instructor reports – this team had an incredibly productive year.

The impact of their work will be felt on multiple levels: by students when completing their evaluations; by instructors when interpreting their reports; and by administrators seeking to use and implement course evaluation data in appropriate and effective ways. In working together on these projects, seamlessly collaborating with one another, and with a range of other contacts across divisions and other central offices, this team has been unified in working towards the shared goal of enhancing teaching and learning at U of T.

The Evaluation & Assessment Operations team represents technical staff responsible for the administration of the centralized online institutional course evaluation system. They are also responsible for the data analysis that ensures effective implementation and monitoring of the University’s course evaluation framework.
