Principals & Deans (P&D)
The Principals & Deans Committee (P&D) consists of Principals, Deans, Vice-Presidents, Vice-Provosts, and the President. Academic Administrators who have been appointed under the Policy on Appointment of Academic Administrators, as well as certain other senior administrators, are members of the Principals, Deans, Academic Directors, and Chairs Committee (PDAD&C).
Both committees are convened by the Vice-President & Provost as consultative and advisory bodies. The committees discuss particular issues or developments as well as receive annual updates on topics ranging from the budget to human resources. Both committees meet regularly during the academic year and also receive targeted communications via the Provost’s Weekly Digest.
2021-22 Meeting Dates
Currently, these meetings are scheduled as videoconferences. If larger in-person gatherings are permitted this fall or later in the academic year, the meetings would take place in the Council Chamber in Simcoe Hall, with video-conferencing available. We will keep you updated on any changes in line with public health guidelines.
Please note that only P&D members and designated senior administrators are permitted to attend these meetings. Requests for permission to assign a designate to attend a particular meeting on a member’s behalf should be sent to email@example.com at least two days prior to the meeting. Please note that Microsoft Teams may not work with all departmental email addresses, so we recommend that members use their individual U of T accounts to log into meetings.
