Re:  Revisions to Policies

I am writing to notify you that the Governing Council at its regular meeting held on October 30, 2003, approved revisions to the Policy on the Appointment of Academic Administrators and the Policy and Procedures on Academic Appointments.  The need for changes to these two policies on appointments has been occasioned by the new structure for academic administration on the three campuses.  A role for the tri-campus graduate chairs in the appointments processes has been incorporated into the revised policies.  The changes have been fully endorsed by University of Toronto Faculty Association.
