I am pleased to inform you that Ms Tammy Chan will take up the position of Administrative Coordinator, Faculty Affairs, effective July 14, 2003. Tammy joined the University of Toronto after graduating with a B.A. in 1991. Currently working as a Research Grants Officer in the Office of Research and International Relations, she has had responsibility for assisting researchers in their various research endeavours, especially in relation to their research funding. Most recently, Tammy successfully combined working with continuing her education by completing an M.A. in Education from OISE/UT.

Tammy will join Carol Robb, Assistant Vice-Provost, and Pat Rafferty, Assistant, Faculty Affairs, as a member of the team that provides a full range of academic human resource services to all academic divisions in the University. Under the direction of Vivek Goel, Deputy Provost and Vice-Provost, Faculty, this group is the central administrative resource for advice and guidance on issues pertaining to academic personnel policy and practice. This group will support the academic divisions by providing advice and training on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures as they pertain to academic searches, appointments, promotions, tenure, early retirements, and academic leaves and will also provide liaison and assistance to divisions in relation to the academic planning process.
