The International Student Exchange Office (ISXO) and the International Student Centre (ISC), both currently situated in the Vice Provost, Students' portfolio, will shortly be combined into one central unit: the Centre for International Experience. The restructuring will better serve the University's expanded goals of internationalization as outlined in Towards 2030. Synergies created by the new unit will allow for the expansion of services for international students and a wider array of international opportunities we offer domestic students who wish to go on an exchange, study or work abroad. The Centre for International Experience will be located primarily in Cumberland House on St George Street.
The structural reorganization of the ISC and ISXO resulted in the elimination of two positions (Director, ISC and Director, ISXO) and the creation of one new Director position for the new unit. I am pleased to announce that, after a recent search, Miranda Cheng has accepted the position of Director of the Centre for International Experience. Miranda brings a wealth of experience to this position, having worked with many partners across the university in developing student programs and services in international education. Please join me in welcoming her to this new role.
