As noted in PDAD&C #68 on May 28, 2014, Professor Ira Jacobs will complete his first term as Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education (KPE) on June 30, 2015. Professor Jacobs is eligible for reappointment.

In accordance with Section 60 of the Policy on Appointment of Academic Administrators, President Meric Gertler has appointed a Committee to recommend the appointment of the Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. The composition of the Committee is as follows:

A Provostial review of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education and its programs was conducted in 2011 in accordance with the University of Toronto Quality Assurance Process.

The Advisory Committee will begin meeting in the Fall Term.  The Advisory Committee welcomes comments from interested persons about the decanal appointment process.  Communications will be received in confidence and will be anonymized before consideration by the Advisory Committee.
