PDAD&C#71 (2011-12) summarized the agreement reached with UTFA regarding salaries and benefits for Faculty Members and Librarians for the period July 1 2011 to June 30 2014 and provided an outline of the implementation timeline for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 components of the agreement. This memo provides a timely reminder of the implementation of the 2012-13 components of the agreement which are scheduled for September 2012.

1. IMPLEMENTATION OF 2012-13 ATB INCREASES
There are two components to the ATB salary increase for 2012-13: an across-the-board (ATB) percentage increase of 1.0% and a flat dollar amount of $1520 (pro-rated for part-time faculty and librarians) effective July 1, 2012. These increases are retroactive to the effective date. Both increases will be applied automatically through HRIS in the September 2012 pay run for faculty members and librarians who commenced their employment prior to (but not including) July 1, 2012.

You should ensure that faculty members and librarians receive a letter no later than September 30, 2012 informing them of the ATB increase, their PTR award (see below) and their new annualized salary for 2012-13.

2. IMPLEMENTATION OF PTR FOR 2011-12
PTR for 2011-12 remains outstanding and will be implemented in September 2012 retroactive to July 1, 2012. Details of salary breakpoints can be found below.

3. PTR BREAKPOINTS AND INCREMENTS 2012/13
The PTR breakpoints for 2012/13 are as follows. Please note the amounts below include the relevant one-time-only special allocation as outlined in PDAD&C #71 (2011-12) and exclude the 5% Merit Pool:

1. PER COURSE/STIPEND PAYMENT RATE
Effective September 1, 2012 the minimum per course stipend rate payable to faculty teaching
on overload and retired faculty is increased to $15,900. Please note that the start date for this provision means that the stipend rate for courses taught in summer 2012 are NOT affected by the change outlined above.
