As you are aware from the Joint Statement sent to PDAD&C on 4th June 2012, the University has reached a tentative agreement with UTFA with respect to salary and benefit negotiations for the period July 1st 2011 through June 30th 2014.
The agreement was approved by Business Board yesterday on behalf of the Governing Council, subject to approval by UTFA Council at their meeting to be held on June 26th 2012.
In the hopeful anticipation that UTFA Council will approve the agreement and to assist you in terms of managing the PTR process, all academic units should proceed to issue written notification of the performance assessment for faculty and librarians. This should provide feedback on the individual's performance for the academic year 2011-12. If a scoring mechanism is used in the unit and is typically included in assessment letters, this may also be provided. Letters should be received by faculty and librarians by 1st July 2012.
Further instructions on the ATB/PTR amounts and the time-frame for implementing them will be issued shortly after the outcome of the UTFA Council meeting is known.
