The Professional Development Leadership Seminar Series was developed by the Office of the Vice President and Provost as a forum for the discussion of some of the key issues facing academic administrators at the University of Toronto.
On Tuesday, 19th January 2010, we are pleased to offer a session entitled 'Leading for Excellence'. The Seminar is designed to provide academic administrators with insight and guidance in building a vision for their academic unit. Taking on a role in academic leadership provides an opportunity to (re)-examine the direction, vision and goals of an academic unit. Creating a vision requires the determination of goals and the leadership of faculty and staff in fulfilling these goals. The session will feature keynote addresses by Glen Jones, Associate Dean (Academic) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and Angela Hildyard (Vice President, Human Resources and Equity) and workshops on academic quality and academic planning led by Cheryl Regehr, Vice Provost, Academic Programs; and visioning and goal-setting led by Scott Mabury, Vice Provost, Academic Operations.
The event will be held in the Governing Council Chambers of Simcoe Hall from 9am to 12pm on the 19th January, 2010. We hope that you will be able to join us. To confirm your attendance, please register here http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/link/events/pdls-lfe0910.htm.
Look forward to seeing you there.
Vice Provost, Faculty & Academic Life.
