We are pleased to invite you to “spend the night” at St. George campus for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, “an all night contemporary art thing” happening in the City of Toronto September 30 – October 1, 2006. This is a free, public celebration of contemporary art occurring throughout the city all night long. Paris held the first Nuit Blanche event in 2002, and this year Toronto is delighted to host such a “Sleepless Night” of artistic activity.
The University of Toronto will be transformed into an avenue of the arts with nocturnal installations, performance-based art, musical encounters, poetry, drama, film, and more from 7:01 p.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday. Three of the campus art galleries will be open throughout the night. From poetry slams at the School of Continuing Studies to blanket architecture at Hart House, there will be a wide array of events to feed the soul and expand the mind. Staff, students, faculty and the general public are all invited to be part of these contemporary creative offerings.
If you have any questions, please contact Vanessa Laufer, Special Projects Officer at (416) 978-1855 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
