CIDA’s 2005-2006 Tier 2 competition guidelines have been made available
CIDA Tier 2 projects are funded on a cost-shared basis, with CIDA contributing up to $1 million for a maximum of six years. The purpose of the program is to increase the capacity of developing country education and training organizations, through collaboration with Canadian universities, to address the development needs of the communities those organizations serve. For 2005-2006, the list of eligible countries has been changed to reflect the countries and territories in which Canadian Partnership Branch programming is now allowed, including the 25 core countries identified in the International Policy Statement and some Eastern European countries.
The University may submit no more than two letters of intent as lead institution no later than April 25, 2006. To facilitate internal review of submissions, interested project groups should forward their proposed letters of intent to the attention of Marjorie Boyle (tel. 416-978-6063 / fax 416-978-5821 / email: firstname.lastname@example.org) by March 31, 2006.
