Dear University Faculty and Staff:
Ontario Summer Experience Program (SEP)
The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has just announced that job creation funding under the Ontario Summer Experience Program (SEP) will be available this summer. The goal of the SEP is to provide training and supervised work experience for youth during summer.
Before applying, please consider the following:
- Students must be paid $7.75/hour + 14% vacation and benefits. **No top up of this wage in any form is permitted under the Ministry's guidelines.
- Approved students will be required to work 30 to 40 hours a week for seven (7) consecutive weeks between May 1 and August 31, 2006. Employees must be 15 to 24 years of age. Please refer to the program guide for full eligibility details.
- Funding under this program is limited, and only University of Toronto departments, colleges, or faculties are eligible to apply.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, February 10, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. **Due to strict Ministry deadlines, late proposals will not be considered.**
