Cancellation of classes and, more rarely, University closure can occur as a result of adverse weather conditions. Classes should not normally be cancelled by individual instructors or by division heads. In the event that there is a decision to cancel classes or to close the University, the decision will be recorded on the 416-978-SNOW line (416-978-7669) and posted on the University's website - http://www.utoronto.ca . A PDAD&C memo will also be distributed. If the decision is taken overnight, it will be communicated to the University community through local radio and television stations by the Public Affairs Office and by broadcast message via telephone to campus voicemail boxes.
