For your information, attached you will find a copy of a memo that has been sent to all faculty members and librarians who – as of June 30, 2006 – are within ten years of normal retirement, inviting them to attend an information session regarding retirement options available to them.

Faculty members and librarians who wish to retire on June 30, 2006 must give notice of their intention by October 15, 2005. A copy of the application form to enter the Phased Retirement Program can be found at: http://www.provost.utoronto.ca/English/Retirement-Information-and-Resources.html. Please note that, if a faculty member or librarian wishes to apply to take an earned research and study leave during a three-year phased retirement program, s/he must apply at the time of giving notice of intention to enter into phased retirement so that the leave can be considered and approved in the context of the planning process for the phased retirement.
