We are pleased to announce that the Provost and the Academic Board have approved the appointment of Professor Jonathan L. Freedman as Acting Vice-Principal (Academic) and Dean, University of Toronto at Scarborough, from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006, during which period Professor Ragnar-Olaf Buchweitz will be on leave.
Professor Freedman joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto in 1980. He previously taught at Stanford University, following completion of his Ph.D. at Yale in 1961. He is the author of seven scholarly books and numerous articles, and is currently an Acting Vice-Dean in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
