The Provost's Office assesses the training programs provided to academic administrators on an ongoing basis. In response to your comments and those of your colleagues, we will be offering a new workshop on Managing Your Infrastructure: People, Technology, Space.
The premise of this workshop is that the thoughtful and effective use of technology, space and human resources can enable an academic unit to succeed within the resources available. The workshop will deal with the rapid evolution of technology, strategies for maximizing the impact of faculty and staff, and planning for the efficient utilization of space and facilities. Some of the topics to be covered include capital planning, AFD applications, overview of RCAT and CNS services, IT planning framework, and academic and administrative staff issues related to space and the introduction of new technologies.
Managing Your Infrastructure: People, Technology, Space will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00noon, in the Council Chambers, Simcoe Hall, 27 King’s College Circle.
This workshop is intended for all academic administrators. Experienced as well as newly appointed academic administrators are encouraged to attend. You can register on-line at: (registration is now closed).
