RE:   Update on Green Paper Consultation Process

PLEASE CIRCULATE TO ALL FACULTY, STUDENTS AND STAFF IN YOUR AREA.

The Green Paper consultation process is well underway. The response from the University community has been strong; demand for the Green Paper supplement published in the December 13th edition of The Bulletin has been high and the discussions at the Town Hall meetings have been animated and constructive. More than 1,000 people have attended one of the ten Town Hall meetings that have been held so far and we expect a good turnout to the remaining two meetings. We have also received many written submissions and expect to receive many more over the coming weeks.

In the middle of February, we will begin working on the next phase of the planning process, which will be collectively to assimilate into a draft white paper all that we have heard and read. If you wish your views to be taken fully into account, please send in your submission by Friday, February 14th, 2003. Submissions can be e-mailed to plan2003@utoronto.ca.
