|RE:||Appointment of Brian Langille as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law|
During the next academic year Professor Ron Daniels, Dean of the Faculty of Law, will be taking a year of leave from his term as Dean to serve as a visiting professor at Yale Law School. I am pleased to announce that Professor Brian Langille has agreed to serve as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law beginning July 1, 2003 and ending on June 30, 2004.
Since joining the Faculty of Law in 1983, Brian has been a distinguished scholar and teacher specializing in international and domestic labour law. He has also been a dedicated university citizen. He served two terms as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Law, and, since 1994, has been an active and committed member of the University's Governing Council, Business Board, and the Executive Committee.
Please join me in welcoming Professor Langille as Acting Dean and in offering our support and assistance to him as he assumes his new role.
