In September 2001, my Office distributed a memo (PDAD&C #12) reminding you of the University's policy concerning the scheduling of classes and examinations and the accommodation for religious observances, including a schedule of dates. PDAD&C #24, sent in November 2001, provided information on downloading the schedule of dates into UTORschedule CorporateTime personal calendars. The facility helps to avoid the scheduling of meetings for those who may be unavailable because of religious observances.
It has been brought to my attention that a number of managers were not aware of the Corporate Time Observance file. For those interested in adding the dates to a personal calendar, the instructions are available at http://www.utoronto.ca/ns/utorschedule/observances.html.
