|RE:||OCUFA Awards for Teachers and Academic Librarians|
Each year the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) recognizes outstanding teachers and academic librarians in Ontario universities through its awards program. The University of Toronto has done well in this competition, particularly in the award for academic librarians. Of the 11 awards that have so far been given in this category, 5 of them have been awarded to U of T librarians, most recently Linda Corman of Trinity College. It brings honour both to our institution and to our colleagues to have their achievements recognized in this way.
I am writing to strongly encourage you to nominate colleagues who have exemplified the skills and accomplishments recognized by these awards. Copies of the guidelines and nomination form are available from Lynn Snowden in my office, from the Faculty Association, or through the OCUFA web-site http://www.ocufa.on.ca/Awards. The deadline for submission of the nomination packages to OCUFA is February 22, 2002.
